A child of God is the light of the world. Everyone with a shout welcomes light. Jesus expects us to prove Him right by living according to His description of us. Living holy is costly but the consequences of not living holy is very terrible. You may be mocked and dismissed for been old fashioned but holiness at any cost would be better appreciated.
God will not change for anyone, He commands us to comply but leaves us to decide. Self denial is a basic qualification for discipleship.
